Narcissuses in the garden near my house.
I took a picture without permission.
The flower language of “narcissus” is “bighead” and “self-love”. The etymology is Greek mythology. The beautiful young man “Narcissus” gave the heave-ho to “Echo” of the nymph who fell in love with him. Goddess Nemesis cursed Narcissus so that he could love no one except himself. When he tried to drink water at a fount, there was a beautiful boy inside. It was Narcissus. He fell in love with his appearance reflected on the surface of the water and died debilitatingly, and narcissuses were blooming where he died. It is said hat they became the etymology of the term “narcissism” in psychoanalysis.
